Frequently Asked Questions

What happens after I graduate, can I stay in Germany?
Yes, the post-study work visa in Germany allows graduates to stay for 18 months after graduation to find a job. Once employed in a role matching your qualifications, you can apply for a work permit and eventually Germany PR after studying.
The cost of studying in Germany at public universities is remarkably low, most charge only a semester fee of €150 - €750. Combined with living costs of €7,000 - €15,000 per year, Germany is one of the most affordable destinations for quality higher education globally.
For an MBA in Germany, the visa process follows the standard German student visa route. Most MBA programs at top schools like Mannheim, WHU, and ESMT Berlin are English-taught, no German language requirement. You'll still need a blocked account, APS certificate (if Indian), and valid health insurance.
The APS certificate Germany is a mandatory academic credential verification document for students from India, China, and Vietnam. Issued by the Academic Evaluation Centre (APS), it verifies the authenticity of your academic documents before your visa is processed. It takes 4-6 weeks and costs €200 - €225, factor this in early, as it's the longest step in your Germany student visa timeline.
Yes, work while studying in Germany is permitted for international students. You're allowed to work up to 120 full days or 240 half days per year without a separate work permit. This can significantly offset your living costs, especially given Germany's strong minimum wage. Just ensure your employment doesn't interfere with your academic standing.
Whether you want to study Masters in Germany or Bachelors, the visa process is the same, a Type D German student visa through your nearest German Embassy or Consulate. What differs is the academic entry requirement and language proficiency your university expects. Both pathways come with work rights of 120 full days per year and an 18-month post-study work visa in Germany after graduation.
The presence of a study abroad consultant of Germany is not a requirement (although it may be), but it can be truly helpful, particularly in the cases of Indian students going through the APS certificate process and also getting a blocked account and visa papers simultaneously.
