ADB Japan Scholarship Program 2025 Overview

The ADB‑Japan Scholarship Program (JSP) provides approximately 135 fully funded graduate scholarships each year for studies in economics, business and management, science and technology, and other development‑related fields.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must meet the following requirements:

• Be a national of an ADB borrowing member country or a Japanese ODA scholarship‑eligible country.
• Not hold dual citizenship in any developing country.
• Have secured admission to an approved master’s A course at a designated institution.
• Be no older than 35 years and in good health.
• Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a superior academic record.
• Commit to returning to the home country after completion of studies to contribute to its development.
