Asia Connect Scholarships at Victoria University of Wellington 2025

These scholarships provide partial funding of NZD 30,000 to support New Zealand citizens or permanent residents undertaking a full‑time undergraduate degree who obtain a place in a Singapore exchange through the Wellington Global Exchange Programme.

Eligibility

1. Enrolled full‑time in an undergraduate degree at Victoria University of Wellington and must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
2. Must have secured or applied for a place in a Singapore exchange under the Wellington Global Exchange Programme and be in the second year or above at the time of exchange.
3. Students in the Kitea Impact Programme may receive additional consideration.

Selection Criteria

1. Clearly articulate personal, educational, and career benefits of the international experience, including how the time abroad will strengthen New Zealand’s global connections.
2. Demonstrate strong work ethic and commitment through employment, extracurriculars, or volunteer work, with possible preference for those facing financial hardship.

Application Process

1. Submit a completed online application by 4:30 pm on 1 June 2025, including all required supporting documents such as references.
2. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Award Details

The scholarship is valued at NZD 30,000 and will be disbursed in instalments. Recipients may also be invited to contribute to university communications highlighting the scholarship’s impact.
