Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds MD Fellowships 2025

The Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds (BIF) awards MD fellowships to excellent medical students studying in Germany who wish to pursue an experimentally demanding and hypothesis-driven research project in basic biomedical research in an internationally leading laboratory away from their home institution and city.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants may come from any nationality.
• Applicants must be studying medicine in Germany.
• Applicants need to achieve high scores in the first part of the medical exam or a similar test.
• Applicants must be ready to pause their studies during the research period and relocate their workplace.

• Financial circumstances details
• Research stay and proposal details
• Up to five publications published in the last five years
• Other supporting documents requested by the provider.
