China Scholarship Council (CSC) – Trinity College Dublin Joint Scholarship Programme 2026

This joint scholarship supports Chinese citizens pursuing a PhD at Trinity College Dublin. The award provides full funding including tuition waiver, a living stipend, airfare, and health insurance coverage.

Application Deadline

All applications must be submitted by 28 February 2026.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be Chinese nationals residing in mainland China (excluding Macau, Hong Kong, and Taiwan). Candidates must either:

• Be in their final year of a Master’s program in China or have recently graduated (within one year), or
• Be in the first year of a doctoral program in China,
• Hold an unconditional offer or joint invitation letter from Trinity College Dublin for a PhD program,
• Meet Trinity’s academic and English language requirements,
• Commit to returning to China after completing their studies.

Selection Process

Applicants must satisfy the China Scholarship Council’s eligibility criteria and may be subject to policy changes. Following Trinity application submission, candidates require nomination by the Chinese Embassy’s Education Section in Ireland.

Scholarship Value

The award covers full tuition fees, a living stipend, round-trip airfare, and comprehensive health insurance for the duration of the PhD program.
