CNR Building Futures Scholarship 2026

Field of Study: Undergraduate and master's degrees related to the oil and natural gas industry are eligible for this award.

Scholarship Value: This award provides partial funding; the exact amount varies per recipient.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must be Indigenous students from communities near Canadian Natural field operations, or the child or dependent of a Canadian Natural employee.
• Residency requirement: Must live in Western Canada (British Columbia, Alberta, or Saskatchewan) for at least one year prior to applying.
• Preference is given to applicants from communities where Canadian Natural has operations.
• Must possess a Canadian Social Insurance Number.
• Field of study must relate to the oil and natural gas industry or supporting community operations.
• Only one application per applicant is permitted each year.
• Minimum academic standing of C+ or 75% average is required.

• One-page letter describing career plan and community activities
• Transcripts from all high schools or post-secondary institutions attended in the past three years
• Official proof of current school registration
• List of registration and tuition fees
• Reference letters (optional)
