Overview
The DCU Business School invites applications for a PhD scholarship within the Work, Psychology and Strategy research group. This award provides partial funding of €22,000 per annum and is open to all nationalities. Applicants must register as full-time PhD candidates in DCU Business School starting in March 2025.
Eligibility criteria
- Applicants must meet DCU PhD eligibility criteria, normally holding an honours master’s degree (taught or by research).
- Applicants must secure the support of a DCU Business School academic supervisor based in the Work, Psychology and Strategy group.
- The scholarship is awarded only for full-time PhD study at DCU; successful candidates register in year one in March 2025.
- Recipients receiving the €22,000 annual stipend cannot normally hold a concurrent scholarship or educational grant exceeding €4,000 per annum.
Application process
- Submit all required documents as a single PDF file via email to dcubsresearch@dcu.ie.
- Include a fully completed 2025 DCU Business School PhD Scholarship Application Form with signatures from the applicant and proposed supervisor.
- Provide scanned copies of original, notarised academic transcripts for all undergraduate and postgraduate years (if not completed at DCU).
- Include IELTS or Duolingo Test results if applicable.
- Provide two references from independent referees (referees must not be the proposed supervisor).
- Name the file: surname_firstname_WPS_2025.pdf.
- Late and incomplete applications will not be accepted.
- The Research Officer will acknowledge receipt by email.
- Applicants wishing to withdraw must inform the Research Officer by email at their earliest convenience.
- Shortlisted candidates will attend an interview in person or via Zoom.
- Award of the scholarship is conditional on acceptance of a place on the PhD programme.
