Deane Orchestral Studies Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington 2025
This scholarship provides Partial Funding, NZD 15,000 to outstanding musicians undertaking the Master of Fine Arts in Creative Practice (MFA (CP)) at Te Kōkī—NZ School of Music. It is designed to strengthen the link between the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and the university’s music programme.
Eligibility
Applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree in performance (GPA 7) at NZSM or any New Zealand university on an orchestral instrument, or demonstrate equivalent professional experience, and be enrolled in the MFA (CP) programme while residing in Wellington. Candidates must also be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents.
The application must be submitted by 01 Nov, 2025. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Selection Criteria
The scholarship is awarded to the most talented students in orchestral performance who meet the eligibility requirements and have submitted their MFA (CP) application by the closing date.
