Degree Completion Grants for International Students at Universität Hamburg 2026

Overview

This scholarship assists international students in completing their undergraduate degrees at Universität Hamburg. It provides partial funding ranging from EUR 200 to EUR 855 per month.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be admitted to Universität Hamburg.
• Applicants must identify as internationals and are not eligible for the federal student loan scheme.
• Applicants must be preparing for or are in the final examination phase of their studies.
• Applicants must demonstrate genuine financial need with required proof.

Application Process

• Interested candidates must submit an online application.
• The application must include the following documents: CV, a reason for the application, a schedule detailing all steps leading to the final examination, and scanned bank statements.
• Bank statements from 1 March to 31 May are required for the 1 June application deadline.
• Bank statements from 1 September to 30 November are required for the 1 December application deadline.
• An evaluation from the supervisor of the final thesis is also required.

Value of the Fellowship

• Selected candidates are awarded a sum ranging between EUR 200 to EUR 855 per month.
