This undergraduate scholarship supports Māori and Pasifika students pursuing quantity surveying or construction economics at the bachelor’s level. It provides partial funding of up to NZD $8000 per year to cover tuition for the recipient’s second and third years of study.

• Eligibility: Open to New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of Māori or Pacific descent who are members of the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet all of the following:

• Be of Māori or Pacific descent.
• Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
• Be a member of the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NZIQS).
• Be enrolled in one of the approved degree programs majoring in quantity surveying or construction economics:
  • Bachelor of Construction (Construction Economics) – UNITEC
  • Bachelor of Construction (Quantity Surveying) – Massey University
  • Bachelor of Construction (Quantity Surveying) – Otago Polytechnic
  • Bachelor of Construction (Quantity Surveying) – Future Skills Academy
  • Bachelor of Construction (Quantity Surveying) – Ara Institute of Canterbury
  • Bachelor of Construction (Quantity Surveying) – Southern Institute of Technology
• Be commencing the second year of their degree program in 2025.
