GCSB Women in STEM Scholarship 2025 Overview

The GCSB Women in STEM Scholarship 2025 provides a one‑time partial funding award of NZD 10,000 to support female New Zealand citizens studying Computer Science, Cyber Security, Technology, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Data Science at an approved NZQA‑accredited tertiary institution.

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
• The applicant must identify as female.
• The applicant must be over 18 years of age.
• The applicant must be in the second or subsequent year of full‑time tertiary study (including Honours and Masters).
• The applicant must be enrolled or have been accepted into a full‑time degree majoring in STEM at an approved NZQA‑accredited provider for the next academic year.
• Eligible STEM disciplines: Computer Science, Cyber Security, Technology, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, and Data Science.

Application Process

All eligible candidates must complete the Women in STEM Scholarship Application Form and submit it to scholarship@nzic.govt.nz.

Scholarship Value

• The successful candidates receive a one‑time grant of NZD 10,000.
• Recipients will not receive more than NZD 5,000 in any single year.
