GFS (Girls Friendly Society) Pasifika Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington 2025

The GFS Pasifika Scholarship provides financial assistance to female Pasifika students enrolled full‑time at Victoria University of Wellington. The award covers tuition fees for the second and third years of study, with a total value of up to NZD 12,000, and includes regular mentoring to support academic and social success.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Applicants must be female Pasifika students who are New Zealand citizens or permanent residents and under 25 years of age.
2. Applicants must have completed one year of full‑time study at Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington and intend to enrol full‑time in their second undergraduate year.
3. Applicants must be experiencing financial hardship.

Selection Criteria Preference is given to applicants experiencing financial hardship, showing initiative, and demonstrating the ability to complete their enrolled degree.

Application Process A completed online application must be submitted by the closing date of 1 December 2025. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Award Details The scholarship is valued at up to NZD 12,000, typically split as NZD 6,000 for the second year and NZD 6,000 for the third year (or NZD 6,000 for the second year and NZD 3,000 each for the third and fourth years).
