Guaranteed Wellington Doctoral Scholarships at Victoria University of Wellington 2025

The Guaranteed Wellington Doctoral Scholarships at Victoria University of Wellington provide full funding for doctoral candidates pursuing a PhD. Each recipient receives a NZD 32,000 annual stipend plus tuition fees for up to three years of study.

Eligibility Criteria

1. The scholarships are open to graduates of any New Zealand university who are enrolling full-time or have commenced a PhD at Victoria University of Wellington.
2. Applicants must have achieved a GPA of 8.5 or above in their qualifying degree completed within 12 months prior to application; those outside this timeframe may be considered on individual merit.
3. Applicants should refer to the university website for detailed eligibility conditions and application requirements, as the scholarship follows the Wellington Doctoral Scholarship regulations.

Selection Process

1. The University Research Scholarships Committee makes the final selection of applicants who have been approved by the relevant School and Faculty.
2. Applicants will be notified of the outcome within 4 weeks of submitting a completed application.
