Ian Pollard Organ Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington 2025

This scholarship provides Partial Funding, NZD 3,000 to students pursuing organ studies at the New Zealand School of Music—Te Kōkī. It is tenable for both Bachelors and Masters level programmes in Music.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
• Be enrolled (or intend to enrol) in an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification at the New Zealand School of Music – Te Kōkī, Victoria University of Wellington.
• Be a student of the organ (instrumental focus).
• Meet the academic merit criteria as assessed by the selection panel.

Selection Criteria

Selection is based on academic merit and the applicant’s status as an organ student at either the undergraduate or postgraduate level.

Award Details

The scholarship is valued at approximately NZD 3,000 and is awarded as partial funding.

Recipient Obligations

Recipients must:

• Write a letter of thanks to the donor.
• Demonstrate engagement and contribute to the community and environment of the New Zealand School of Music, which may include participation in ensembles, presentations, or performances at NZSM or university events.
