Indigenous Education Costs Scholarship at University of Technology Sydney 2026

This scholarship provides partial financial assistance, ranging from AUD 1,000 to AUD 3,000, to support the education expenses of Indigenous students at UTS.

Eligibility

• Must be of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, with Confirmation of Aboriginality or a UTS Statutory Declaration and two community references.
• Enrolled or planning to enrol in an eligible undergraduate, postgraduate, or Jumbunna UniStart course.
• Cannot be receiving conflicting Commonwealth funding.
• Must demonstrate financial disadvantage through a UAC Equity Scholarship or UTS Financial Assistance assessment.

Selection Process

• Recipients are chosen based on eligibility criteria and availability of funding.
• Eligible applicants are not guaranteed a scholarship; awards depend on Commonwealth funding each year.
• For undergraduate study, priority is given to first‑time commencing students.
• Continuing students must maintain a minimum WAM of 50 in the previous session.
