The University of Trier provides partial funding scholarships to support qualified international students during the final stage of their degree programs. These awards are available for Bachelor, Master, and Diploma level studies across all subjects offered at the institution.
Scholarship Value and Benefits
Selected candidates receive monthly stipends based on their program level. Bachelor’s students can receive up to EUR 350 per month, while students in Master’s, Magister, Diploma, or State Exam programs are eligible for up to EUR 400 per month. The funding is intended to assist with living expenses and is awarded as partial support.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be international students enrolled at the university
- Must demonstrate financial need for the scholarship
- Must be in the final stage of their degree program
- Must likely graduate within a maximum of two semesters
- Applicants pursuing only academic certificates are not eligible
- Students receiving full stipends from the German Academic Exchange Service or similar organizations are excluded
Application Process
Eligible candidates must complete an online application and submit required documentation. Required materials include a printed and signed application form, certificate of enrolment, evidence of completed modules and exams, and a provisional timetable for degree completion. Additional documents needed are a CV with passport photo, evidence of current finances, and a reference from a professor.
