Eligibility Requirements

  • Resident national of one of the listed African countries
  • Minimum two or three years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Not already holding a master’s degree or higher
  • Not applying to a new master’s program in Ireland before August 2025
  • Not having previously applied to the Ireland Fellows Programme more than once
  • Available to begin the fellowship in the 2025/2026 academic year

Application Process

  • Submit the Stage 1 application form
  • Complete the Duolingo English test
  • Shortlisted candidates proceed to Stage 2 and, if successful, to Stage 3 interview
