Ivanie Down Joslin Classics Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington 2025‑26

This scholarship provides partial funding of up to NZD 5,000 for students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Studies, Latin, or Greek at Victoria University of Wellington.

Eligibility

Open to all nationalities. Applicants must be current full‑time students planning to enrol in their third undergraduate year or an honours year in Classical Studies, Latin, or Greek at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington in the year after applying.

Selection Criteria

The selection process evaluates academic merit and demonstrated passion for the subject. Financial hardship is considered only as a secondary factor.

1. Applicants must be full‑time students at Victoria University of Wellington majoring in Classical Studies, Latin, or Greek and intend to enrol in 300‑level courses or a Bachelor of Honours.
2. Selection is based on academic merit and passion for the subject, with financial hardship considered secondarily.

Application Process

A completed online application must be submitted by 4:30 pm on the closing date of 1 October 2025. Supporting documents, including references, must also be received by this time.
