The Joe Raynes Award supports Master of Fine Arts students at the University of Auckland. It provides partial funding of up to NZD $1,500 for students specializing in Drawing, Painting, or Design. Joe Raynes Award at University of Auckland 2026
The Joe Raynes Award, established by Mr. Joseph Raynes' Will, supports the study of Drawing, Painting, or Design. Originally for the Diploma in Fine Arts with Honours, it is now available to Master of Fine Arts (MFA) students.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Have completed and met the requirements to graduate with one of the following from the University of Auckland in the year before the award: Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) (BFA(Hons)), or Postgraduate Diploma in Fine Arts (PGDipFA).
- Be enrolled (full-time or part-time) in a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) at the University of Auckland in the year of the award.
- Achieve the highest marks in Studio courses from the preceding year among eligible candidates.
Value of the Joe Raynes Award
One Award will be made annually and will be of the value of up to $1,500.
Application Process
No separate application is necessary. All eligible applicants will be automatically considered for the scholarship.
