Kate Edger Foundation - Foundation Award at University of Auckland 2025

This award provides partial funding of up to NZD $2,000 for female New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who are enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program at the University of Auckland.

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must be a woman.
• The applicant must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
• The applicant must have completed either a Certificate in Health Sciences or a Tertiary Foundation Certificate.
• The applicant must be enrolled, or planning to enroll, full‑time in the first year of an undergraduate degree at the University of Auckland for the year after completing their foundation program.
• Students with health conditions that limit full‑time study may apply for a part‑time award.

• Demonstrated financial need
• Future aspirations and goals
• Special circumstances (if any)
• Personal statement addressing the above factors
• For part‑time students: documentation explaining the reason for part‑time study.

Value of the Award

Awards are made annually for up to one year and are valued at up to NZD $2,000 per year, paid pro‑rata for part‑time recipients.
