KPMG Women in Accounting Prize - Year 2 BSc. Accounting 2026

Scholarship Value and Funding

The prize provides partial funding worth €1,000 to one chosen student. This financial support is intended to assist female undergraduates continuing their accounting studies at University College Cork.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be female students enrolled in Year 2 of the BSc Accounting program at University College Cork. Academic requirements include achieving at least a 2H.1 result in the first sitting of Year 1 BSc Accounting exams and aiming for a similar 2H.1 result in Year 2 exams.

Application Process

To apply, students must submit two statements. A 500-word personal statement is required, outlining academic success, community initiatives, sports, and work experience. Additionally, a 100-word statement explaining how the applicant acts as a role model for other women pursuing accounting is needed. Applications must be submitted in conjunction with the KPMG Year 2 Outstanding Scholar Awards.

Deadline

The deadline for submitting your application is 10 August 2026. Interested students should ensure all materials are submitted by this date to be considered for the prize.
