Lalit Chugh and Hira Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship at University of Waterloo 2026

The Lalit Chugh and Hira Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship at University of Waterloo is available for Masters and PhD degree programs in the field of Engineering. This scholarship provides partial funding valued at up to CAD 10,000 annually to support graduate students.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be full-time Master’s or PhD students in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo. A minimum academic average of 80% or equivalent is required. The scholarship is open to international students who graduated from IIT Delhi, Mumbai, Ropar, Roorkee, Kanpur, or Kharagpur, or from NIT institutions in India. Canadian permanent residents who graduated from IIT or NIT are also eligible. There is a strong preference for candidates who identify as women, particularly those underrepresented in Engineering.

Scholarship Value

The scholarship offers a value of up to $10,000 annually. This funding is provided as partial support toward the cost of graduate studies.

Applicants are required to submit their application through the official University of Waterloo graduate funding database. The deadline for submitting your application is 10 August 2026. Applications are accepted for Masters and PhD programs in Engineering.
