Legrand Empowering Scholarship Program 2026

Overview

The Legrand Empowering Scholarship Program 2026 supports Indian students pursuing a Master’s degree at a French higher education institution. Since 2018, the programme has helped talented students access quality education in France.

Fields of Study

The scholarship covers Master’s level studies in Management, Science, Engineering, Finance, and Social Sciences.

Eligibility criteria

• Applicants must be Indian citizens living in India
• They must be less than 30 years old at the time of application
• They must have good academic records (senior secondary & UG)
• They must have secured admission in reputable French universities for courses commencing from September 2025
• They must also have a first degree, diploma, or professional qualification in their specialization
• Lastly, they should belong to low-income families (annual income should be less than INR 8 lakh from all sources)

Preference will be given to

• Differently-abled students
• Students from the LGBTQ community
• Single mothers' children
• Martyred armed forces personnel and children

Applications must be submitted via the official application link along with the required documents listed on the official website.

Benefit

The scholarship is awarded for up to a maximum of one academic year (September to June) and covers:

• Monthly stipend of INR 59,500
• Visa and Campus France fees waiver
• The scholarship award can be renewed for a second year and will be subject to the students’ academic performance and attendance record in the first year of master's studies.
