The University of Liverpool offers the Excellence Scholarship for international postgraduate students starting in the 2026/27 academic year. This scholarship provides a tuition fee discount of GBP 7,000 toward master’s, MBA, or MRes programs taught on campus.

Key Details

• Eligibility: Open to international students (excluding UK nationals) who hold a first-class undergraduate degree or equivalent.
• Application Process: No separate application is required. Eligible students receive the scholarship automatically upon accepting their offer and paying the tuition deposit by the deadline.
• Deadline: Applications must be accepted and deposits paid by 10 August 2026.
• Value: Partial funding through a fixed tuition fee discount of £7,000.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be an international student enrolling in a full-time or part-time taught master’s program (including MRes) at the Liverpool campus.
• Must pay international tuition fees personally and meet academic requirements (first-class degree or equivalent).
• Must accept the offer and pay the deposit by the August 10, 2026 deadline.
• Open to new and current international students, including alumni and students from Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.
• Excludes those who completed a Pre-Master’s course at the International College, have tuition fees covered by a sponsor, or are enrolled in PGCert, Professional Doctorate, MPhil, MArch, or PhD programs.

Important Notes

Recipients of this scholarship are not eligible for other University of Liverpool scholarships, including the Liverpool Advancement, Achievement, Attainment (India), or Graduate Loyalty Scholarships. The award is automatically applied to successful candidates who meet all criteria and deadlines.
