Luce Scholars Program 2025

This scholarship provides partial funding for training and short courses in Asian studies and is open to U.S. citizens or permanent residents. The application deadline is 15 Sep, 2025, and submissions must follow guidelines at Luce Scholars Program 2025 application form.

Eligibility

Applicants must be U.S. nationals under 32 or recent graduates (within three years of their bachelor’s degree). Candidates should demonstrate leadership, academic excellence, and a strong interest in Asian-related careers. Those with prior experience in Asia or Asian studies are not eligible.

• Must be medically fit
• No prior experience in Asia or Asian studies allowed
• Exceptional leadership skills required
• Strong academic record preferred
• Clear career potential and professional interest
• Age limit: under 32 or graduate within past three years

Required Documents

All applicants must submit:

• Completed Luce Scholars Program Application
• Four letters of recommendation
• Two passport-size photographs
• Official academic transcripts

Scholarship Value

Selected scholars receive:

• Basic stipend
• Cost of living allowance
• Housing allowance

Funding is provided by the Henry Luce Foundation to support professional development in Asian studies.
