Martin Basiri Graduate Scholarship in STEM at University of Waterloo 2026

The Martin Basiri Graduate Scholarship in STEM at University of Waterloo 2026 is designed for international students pursuing a research-based Master’s degree in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering. The scholarship provides partial funding valued at up to CAD 15,000, with two awards granted annually.

Eligibility Criteria

• Be an international graduate student with a valid study permit.
• Be registered full-time in the first term of a research-based Master’s program in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering.
• Be conducting research within Professor Amir Khajepour’s research group.
• Demonstrate academic excellence with a minimum cumulative average of 80% or equivalent.
• Remain in good academic standing and maintain full-time registration to continue receiving funding.

Scholarship Value

Each scholarship is valued at up to CAD $15,000. Two scholarships are awarded annually to support graduate students in STEM fields.

Application Process
