MINDS Master’s Scholarships for Indigenous Students 2024

The MINDS Master’s Scholarships for Indigenous Students 2024 initiative aims to assist indigenous learners undertaking postgraduate studies in Social Sciences and Humanities. This award is made possible through funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be currently enrolled, have submitted an application for, or plan to apply for full-time admission to an eligible graduate program at the master's or doctoral level at a Canadian institution holding a CGS M allocation.
• Candidates must not have previously held or be currently in possession of a CGS M scholarship issued by CIHR, NSERC, or SSHRC.
• Applicants should have maintained a first-class average, as assessed by their host institution, across each of the last two completed years of study.

Scholarship Benefits

The award offers partial funding totaling CAD 17,500. This financial support is intended to reduce the economic pressures of university study, enabling recipients to concentrate on their academic and career development.
