MOE-AU Scholarship 2025 Overview

The scholarship provides full funding for tuition fees, acceptance fees, and additional benefits for Singaporean nationals studying any subject at the local autonomous universities.

Application Details

Applications must be submitted online by 15 Mar, 2026. Candidates are required to indicate “Academia” as one of their career choices in the application form.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be Singapore citizens or Singapore permanent residents and demonstrate strong interest in an academic career at a local autonomous university. Full‑term applicants must have completed their pre‑university final examinations, while mid‑term applicants must not have started their final year of college studies.

Scholarship Value

The award includes:

• All tuition and compulsory fees.
• Acceptance fees paid to the institution.
• Maintenance and other allowances.
• Visa application and immigration‑related fees (if applicable).
• Economy airfare for overseas study, covering a one‑way ticket at program start and another upon graduation.
• Sponsorship for approved overseas field trips, immersion programs, or summer courses.
• Support for one overseas exchange program at a local institution.

Post‑Graduation Commitment

Note: Upon completing undergraduate studies, scholars must apply for and accept a PhD scholarship (under START) from the paired autonomous university. After finishing postgraduate studies, they are required to serve a bond of four to six years as academic staff at that university.
