National Overseas Scholarship for SC and ST Candidates 2026
The Central Sector Scheme of National Overseas Scholarship facilitates low-income students from Scheduled Castes, Denotified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Landless Agricultural Labourers, and Traditional Artisans to pursue Master's or PhD degrees abroad. The program aims to improve the economic and social status of these beneficiaries through international education.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be pursuing Master's level or PhD courses abroad at government-accredited institutions in any field of study.
- In each selection year, 125 fresh awards are given, subject to fund availability.
- 30% of annual awards are earmarked for women candidates.
- Applicants must not exceed 35 years of age.
- Family total income from all sources must not exceed 8 lakhs in the preceding financial year.
