National Science Scholarship (Masters) at A*STAR 2025

The National Science Scholarship (Masters) is tenable for Singapore nationals who have obtained at least a second Upper-Class Honours Degree or equivalent in relevant disciplines. Applicants who are in the last semester of their final year of undergraduate studies are also eligible to apply.

Field of Study

This scholarship supports Masters level research in Computer and Information Sciences, Food Technology, Microelectronics, and Quantum Technology.

Scholarship Value

Selected candidates receive full funding that includes full tuition fees, a monthly overseas living allowance, and annual return airfare. Additional allowances cover conference expenses, thesis work, computer equipment, and settling-in costs.

• Shortlisted applicants are required to undergo two rounds of interviews.
• Selected candidates are notified through email.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be passport holders of Singapore.
• Applicants must have obtained at least a second Upper-Class Honours Degree or equivalent in relevant disciplines.
• Applicants who are in the last semester of their final year of undergraduate studies are eligible.
• Applicants must have applied or will be applying for a Master of Research program in selected research areas at a top overseas global university.
• Applicant must demonstrate a strong interest in a research career.
