These scholarships are aimed at undergraduate students who demonstrate exceptional sporting ability and wish to pursue a degree at University College Cork. The award covers up to €10,500 and is available to all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria

• Be a registered UCC undergraduate or applicant for a Level 8 programme in 2026/27.
• Meet entry/academic requirements (current students must have higher honours).
• Compete in a Sport Ireland–recognized sport.
• Compete at the highest available level with exceptional sporting excellence and potential.
• Be willing to act as an ambassador for UCC and the Quercus Programme.
• Accept a UCC offer before taking up the scholarship.

Application Process

• Apply for the Quercus Scholarship separately from your degree application.
• Degree applications must be submitted via CAO or the International Office.
• Read the Sports Terms of Reference and Application Instructions.
