Raukaraka Leadership Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington 2026

This scholarship provides partial funding of NZD 5,000 or NZD 10,000 for the first year of study. It is awarded to students who have shown leadership qualities and who intend to pursue a full‑time undergraduate degree at Victoria University of Wellington.

Eligibility

• The scholarship targets students who have demonstrated leadership qualities.
• Applicants must exhibit potential as future leaders within New Zealand.
• Open to both domestic and international students.
• Candidates must meet the specific requirements outlined by the scholarship regulations.
• Applicants must be intending to enrol full‑time in the year following application in their first undergraduate degree at Te Herenga Waka.
• Applicants must be in Year 13 or have completed Year 13 in the year prior and be taking a gap year at the time of application.

Application Process

• A completed online application must be submitted by 4.30 pm on the closing date.

Value

Students will receive NZD 5,000 or NZD 10,000 for the first year of study, which can be put towards accommodation costs at a Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington hall of residence or as a contribution towards tuition fees (unless you qualify for Fees Free).
