Sir John Anderson Memorial Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington 2025

This undergraduate scholarship provides Partial Funding, NZD 6,000 per annum for students pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce at the Wellington School of Business and Government.

Eligibility Criteria

• Be a New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a residence‑class visa.
• Hold an NCEA Level 2 Certificate endorsed with Merit (or an equivalent qualification).
• Enter the first year of study and enrol full‑time in a Bachelor of Commerce.
• Demonstrate leadership, community involvement, cultural or sporting activity, and strong academic merit.
• Preference is given to majors in Accounting, Commercial Law, or related Commerce disciplines.
• Applicants for joint degrees that include a non‑Commerce subject are also eligible.

Application Process

All eligible candidates must apply online. The application must include:

• A personal statement outlining how the applicant meets the scholarship criteria.
• A CV covering prior education, employment, and interests.
• A reference from the school’s head of commerce or another suitable teacher.

Value of the Scholarship

The successful candidate will receive NZD 6,000 per annum to support their studies.
