The Overseas PhD Scholarship at Singapore Management University 2025 is tenable for doctoral candidates in selected subjects. It provides full funding covering full tuition and compulsory fees, a monthly stipend, an overseas maintenance allowance, return economy airfare, conference and fieldwork grants, and overseas medical insurance.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be Singapore citizens.
Strong academic records and research motivation aligned with SMU’s core areas are required.
Eligible backgrounds include recent undergraduate graduates, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree holders (with or without work experience), or those currently enrolled in an overseas PhD programme.
Candidates should demonstrate a keen interest in an academic career at SMU, as scholarships are considered for Assistant Professor tenure-track positions after completion.
Degrees in Accountancy, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Law, Statistics, or Social Sciences are accepted.
