SUTD Design and Engineering Scholarship 2026
The SUTD Design and Engineering Scholarships are offered to support outstanding Asian students (excluding Singapore Citizens) pursuing undergraduate degrees at the Singapore University of Technology and Design.
Eligibility criteria
- Applicants must have outstanding Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ level, Local Polytechnic Diploma, NUS High School Diploma, IB Diploma, or Year 12 equivalent qualifications.
- They must show exemplary Co-Curricular Activities records and have good leadership qualities and potential.
- The recipient must pass all subjects in Term 1 and maintain a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 out of 5.0 from Term 2 onwards.
- Recipients are required to complete at least 20 hours of service to the University.
- Recipients of the scholarships (scholars) are required to serve a six-year bond with a Singapore-registered company immediately upon graduation.
Application process
Application for the scholarship is made at the same time as application for admission to SUTD.
- The shortlisted applicants will be notified in due course.
- Scholarships are awarded based on competition among eligible applicants.
- SUTD reserves the right not to award any scholarship if there are no candidates of sufficient merit.
Benefits
- The subsidised tuition fees (after Tuition Grant) for the normal duration (up to four years) of the respective degree programmes at SUTD.
- A living allowance of S$6,000 per academic year for the recipients.
- Accommodation allowance per academic year equivalent to the lowest double room rate for on-campus accommodation.
- A one-off settling-in allowance of S$200, a one-off computer allowance of S$1,750 upon matriculation, and one-way air passage from the home country to Singapore at the beginning of the course of study, and return air passage from Singapore to the home country at the end of the course.
