Eligibility Criteria

1. Applicants must be of Pacific Islands descent.
2. Applicants must be enrolling in a postgraduate programme at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington to complete an Honours, Master's, or Doctorate in Pacific Studies.

Selection Criteria

1. Open to New Zealand citizens, permanent residents, or international students of Pacific Islands descent enrolling in a postgraduate Pacific Studies programme at Victoria University of Wellington.
2. Covers full tuition fees, with any remaining funds paid as a stipend in instalments.
3. Selection based on scholarly ability, financial need, and commitment to Pacific communities and issues.

A completed online application must be submitted by the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Award Information

Award: NZD 10,000.

Additional Requirements

1. Recipients must write a letter of thanks to Teresia’s family and may be asked to meet with family members.
2. Recipients will also be asked to act as an ambassador for this scholarship and may be asked to be involved in events or promotional activities associated with Pacific Studies and the University.
