The David Eade Undergraduate Piano Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington

This scholarship provides NZD 10,000 of partial funding for undergraduate piano students at the New Zealand School of Music, Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington.

Eligibility

Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents planning to enrol at Te Kōkī, New Zealand School of Music.

• Degree: Bachelor’s in Music.
• Provided by: Victoria University of Wellington.

Application Process

A completed online application must be submitted by 12 December 2025. Late or incomplete applications are not accepted.

Selection Criteria

Selection is based on:

1. Current NCEA academic progress.
2. Performance quality submitted with the application.

Award Details

The scholarship awards NZD 10,000 covering a stipend and piano‑related activities for one year, with the possibility to reapply.

Recipient Obligations

Recipients must:

1. Write a thank‑you letter to the donor’s family.
2. Perform in a concert honoring David P. Eade.
3. Engage with the NZSM community through ensembles, presentations, or performances at university events.
