The Dick and Mary Earle Scholarship in Technology 2025
This scholarship supports postgraduate research in Innovation & Product Development or Bioprocess Technology at New Zealand universities or research institutions.
Eligibility
- Open to New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who have resided in New Zealand for at least three years before the selection year.
- Applicants must hold a BTech, BEng, BE (or equivalent) degree with honours from a New Zealand university in a field relevant to their intended research.
Benefits/Value
- Partial funding up to NZD 25,000 per annum.
- Up to NZD 17,000 per annum for Master’s level research.
- Up to NZD 25,000 per annum for PhD level research.
- Typically one Master’s and one Doctoral scholarship are awarded each year.
Application Process
- Applications open on 1 March and close on 1 July each year.
- Selection considers the relevance of the proposed study to New Zealand industry, academic record, project support, and the applicant’s ability to complete the project on time.
