The Eastern Bay Education Scholarship (MK Lamont) at Victoria University of Wellington 2025

This undergraduate scholarship provides Partial Funding, NZD 5,000 to students from the Eastern Bay of Plenty who demonstrate financial need and a commitment to study at Victoria University of Wellington.

Eligibility

Applicants must be New Zealand citizens, permanent residents, or holders of a residence‑class visa and must be from the Eastern Bay of Plenty region. They must intend to enrol full‑time in any undergraduate faculty at the university.

Selection

Selection is based on demonstrated financial hardship and the quality of the applicant’s personal statement.

Application Process

A completed online application must be submitted by 30 Nov 2025. Late or incomplete applications are not accepted.

Award Details

The scholarship is paid as a stipend in two instalments once the recipient is fully enrolled, with continuation of the second instalment confirmed by the Scholarships Office. Recipients must also submit a letter of appreciation to the donor(s).
