The Graham Kelly Engineering and Computer Science Scholarships for Pasifika Students at Victoria University of Wellington 2025

These scholarships provide partial funding of NZD 15,000 to support Pasifika students from Porirua and surrounding areas who are beginning full‑time undergraduate study in Engineering or Computer Science at Victoria University of Wellington.

Eligibility

Applicants must be of Pasifika ethnicity and reside in Porirua City or nearby communities such as Linden, Tawa, Paekākāriki, or Paraparaumu. They must intend to enrol full‑time in an undergraduate Engineering or Computer Science programme and meet all entry requirements for the chosen course.

Application Process

Selection Criteria

Preference is given to candidates who are actively involved in extracurricular or voluntary activities within their school, church, or wider community.

Award Details

The scholarship is valued at NZD 15,000, paid as NZD 5,000 per year for up to three consecutive years, subject to satisfactory academic progress. Disbursements occur in two instalments each year.

Additional Conditions

Recipients must submit a thank‑you letter to the donor within one month of receiving the award. Funds may be carried forward to the next academic year if suitable candidates are not available, and the programme may expand to include Honours, Master’s, or PhD studies as the endowment grows.
