UdeM Exemption Scholarship for International Students 2026

The University of Montreal offers an exemption scholarship program designed to support international candidates in their university studies. Since the fall of 2020, it is possible to benefit from an exemption from the tuition fees normally charged to international students.

Eligibility for UdeM's Exemption Scholarship for International Students

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Have received an offer of admission to a study program at UdeM (as of Fall 2020).
• Not be enrolled in an independent study program or short undergraduate program as of the Winter 2024 session.
• Have valid study authorizations (CAQ and study permit) for all sessions of their study program.
• Be continuously enrolled full-time for their entire study program.
• Not benefit from another form of tuition fee exemption.

Value of UdeM's Exemption Scholarship for International Students

The scholarship amount will be awarded to eligible students, with the specific prize value varying based on individual circumstances.

Application Process

Fall:

• Start of application period: August 1st of preceding year
• End of application period for all candidates: February 1st

Winter:

• Start of application period: February 1st
• End of application period for all candidates: September 1st

Summer:

• Start of application period: August 1st of preceding year
• End of application period for all candidates: February 1st
