Undergraduate Research Awards at Ontario Tech University 2026

The Undergraduate Research Awards program at Ontario Tech University is intended to assist bachelor's degree candidates across multiple disciplines. This award offers partial financial support of up to CAD 6,000 and welcomes applicants from all national backgrounds.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants seeking the Undergraduate Research Awards must meet the following requirements:

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program at a participating institution as of the application closing date of January 9, 2026.
• Maintain a minimum cumulative grade average of B- (equivalent to 70 percent or 2.7 grade points).
• Successfully complete at least one full year of university-level coursework by May 2026.
• Secure a recommendation from the designated Project Supervisor listed on the application form.

Research Opportunities

Students who are successful in their application will engage in full-time research projects lasting between 12 and 16 months, guided by a faculty member from one of the following academic divisions:

• Faculty of Business and IT
• Faculty of Education
• Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science
• Faculty of Health Sciences
• Faculty of Science
• Faculty of Social Science and Humanities
