Autism Scholars Awards at University of Toronto 2026

The Autism Scholars Awards offered by the University of Toronto for the 2026 academic year are intended to assist Canadian citizens working toward Masters or PhD qualifications in disciplines provided by the institution. The program is structured to promote outstanding research standards within the autism studies domain.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates need to be enrolled full-time in a master’s or doctoral program at an Ontario university when the award period begins and must continue as full-time students for the duration of the award.
• Eligibility remains valid through the completion of the sixth term for master’s candidates and the 15th term for doctoral candidates.
• Students who receive this award are not permitted to hold any other significant financial grant (exceeding $20,000) at the same time.

Scholarship Benefits

This award offers partial financial assistance, providing CAD 18,000 for Masters candidates and CAD 20,000 for PhD candidates. The funding is intended to strengthen research capacity in the autism sector.

Applicants wishing to apply must send their materials as one PDF document through email to graduate.awards@utoronto.ca no later than December 1, 2025. The submission should contain all necessary paperwork, with the exception of confidential reference letters.
