The Vice Chancellor’s Award is a prestigious scholarship designed to recognise and support outstanding international students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership qualities, and a commitment to societal betterment. This award is available for both undergraduate and postgraduate full-time programmes commencing in September 2026.

Scholarship Value and Coverage

The scholarship provides full tuition fee coverage for the first year of study. It is applicable to selected undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at University College Birmingham.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must have received and accepted an offer for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme starting in September 2026.
• Must hold overseas fee status and be paying overseas tuition fees; home fee payers are not eligible.
• Undergraduate applicants require a minimum of 144 UCAS tariff points (or international equivalents).
• Postgraduate applicants must hold a 1st-class honours degree (or international equivalents).
• The scholarship is available to students in their first year of study only.

Application Process

1. Applicants must first obtain an offer of admission to a full-time programme at University College Birmingham.
2. Applications must be submitted via the official scholarship link, with deadlines varying by intake (February 2026, September 2026, or February 2027).
3. Submission requires a personal statement of up to 500 words detailing achievements in the field of study, career aspirations, and contribution to the betterment of society.
