Vice Chancellors International Excellence Scholarship at University of Waikato 2026

The Vice-Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship was established in 2015 to promote educational opportunities and support talented international applicants enrolling as new students into undergraduate or postgraduate programs at the University of Waikato.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must enroll full-time in an undergraduate or postgraduate program as new international students.
• Applicants must be classed as international students.
• Applicants must have received a conditional or unconditional offer of admission from the university.
• Applicants must have a minimum GPA equivalent to B+ in the qualification used to gain entrance.
• Applicants who have paid tuition fees or applied for a visa at the time of application are ineligible.
• Applicants must exhibit good academic standing.

Application Process

• Interested candidates must first complete an enrollment application.
• When applying for the scholarship, the application should include the following details:
• The candidates must upload their conditional or unconditional offer of place from the University.
• Ensure they provide specific details when explaining why they want to study at the University.

Scholarship Value

The value of the scholarship offered will be up to NZD 15,000. It covers only tuition fees for eligible undergraduate or postgraduate programs.
