Victoria University of Wellington Law School Leaver Scholarship 2025

This undergraduate scholarship supports high‑achieving New Zealand students entering the Faculty of Law. It provides partial funding of NZD 5,000, paid toward accommodation or as a stipend.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold an NCEA Level 2 Certificate endorsed with Merit (or equivalent CIE/IB scores) and achieve NCEA Level 3 with at least 25 credits at Merit or Excellence. They must also be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents.

Selection

Scholarships are awarded to students planning to enrol in a Bachelor of Law, with preference given to those experiencing financial hardship.

Submit a completed online application by the deadline. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Award Details

The scholarship is valued at NZD 5,000, disbursed as NZD 2,500 per year over two years. Payments are made directly to accommodation costs at a Victoria University of Wellington Hall of Residence or as a stipend, with the second instalment released upon enrolment in the second year of Law (minimum two 200‑level LAW courses).
