International Merit Award at Washington State University 2026

The International Merit Award is a distinguished scholarship program at Washington State University, designed to support outstanding international undergraduate students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in various fields offered by the university.

Qualification Requirements

To be eligible, applicants must be undergraduate degree-seeking students holding an F-1 visa and currently enrolled at the WSU Pullman campus. They must meet at least one of the following requirements:

• A cumulative GPA of 3.60 or higher, with a minimum of 12 WSU credits completed
• Notable service to the university or community within the past 2 years
• Other remarkable achievements within the past 2 years

Application Procedure

Interested candidates must submit an application form to be considered for the International Merit Award. Applicants who are claiming service or achievements must also provide:

• A personal statement outlining their contributions or achievements
• A letter of recommendation from a faculty advisor, professor, or program administrator

Important Note: Students who meet the GPA and credit requirements may not be required to submit additional documentation.

Scholarship Benefits and Awards

The scholarship offers a partial tuition fee waiver of USD 2,000, significantly reducing the educational expenses of the recipients.

Key Application Deadlines

Applications for the fall semester must be submitted by August 1, 2026, while applications for the spring semester must be submitted by January 1st.
